In FY2023, Capitol Singapore celebrated the yuletide season with a European-themed Christmas Market, a countdown to the festive day, carolling and band performances, while CHIJMES surprised visitors with picturesque traditional holiday decorations, “snowfall” for a white Christmas experience, light projection shows and a Movie Night Under the Stars. In addition, Capitol Singapore and CHIJMES collaborated to organise lucky draws and a Christmas trail, where participants could win S$11,000 worth of prizes. Riding the wave of Christmas festivities, Capitol Singapore ushered in the New Year with a vibrant party themed “Time Travel to Y2K24”. Visitors were transported to the year 2000 (“Y2K”) and presented with the rare opportunity to listen and dance alongside live performances from local Y2K-era artists. Beyond music, the atmosphere was further enlivened with classic arcade games, including Bishi Bashi, Foos Ball, Air Hockey and Mario Racing Karts. Due to its central location, event participants had the privilege of enjoying an unrivalled view of the spectacular New Year’s Eve fireworks over Marina Bay. In China, Perennial Jihua Mall in Foshan organised a sushi-making event for children and families, fostering a spirit of family bonding and providing enjoyable activities for the whole family.
