Employees are strongly encouraged to provide feedback through a dedicated email channel and are empowered to stop work if they identify potential risks. Field supervisory executives also conduct daily toolbox meetings to reinforce hazard awareness. Beyond its employees, Perennial Holdings engages contractors through kick-off meetings before each project to ensure all safety requirements are clearly communicated and understood. Perennial Holdings strengthens workplace health and safety through clear communication and continuous employee training. The Company conducts targeted safety workshops to ensure contractors, vendors and service providers, especially main contractors, understand and comply with key health and safety requirements. Complementing this, in-house training sessions are held regularly with the health and safety teams of operating assets to reinforce policy awareness, operational controls and consistent implementation across all sites. This structured approach ensures that safety expectations are clearly communicated and embedded throughout daily operations. As part of their onboarding, new hires are required to attend a WSH induction briefing, while existing employees participate in extensive in‑house health and safety induction programmes, which include post‑training assessments to ensure understanding and retention. Employee attendance for all statutory health and safety training is mandatory and closely tracked. To enhance emergency preparedness, annual fire drills are conducted across the organisation. These regular drills and safety training sessions help employees respond calmly, swiftly and safely in the event of a fire. In compliance with national regulations, Perennial Qingyang Mall and Perennial Jihua Mall in China conduct annual fire drills to strengthen employees’ fire safety awareness and ensure familiarity with the established emergency response and evacuation procedures. At Perennial Qingyang Mall, these programmes include hands-on practice with anti‑terrorism equipment and simulated scenarios that train both security personnel and tenants to respond effectively to potential threats. Security personnel participate in realistic simulations that mirror possible real-world emergencies, allowing them to rehearse appropriate responses within a safe, controlled environment. This practical, immersive approach not only deepens their understanding of essential safety procedures but also strengthens their confidence to act swiftly and decisively in the event of an actual emergency. Anti-Terrorism Drills and Training at Perennial Qingyang Mall for Security Personnel Occupational Health Services and Promotion of Worker Health In both Singapore and China, Perennial Holdings provides employees with access to outpatient medical and dental care, complemented by a comprehensive suite of insurance benefits, including hospitalisation and surgical coverage, group term life insurance and group critical illness insurance. Eligible employees also receive an annual health screening to support early detection, prevention and management of occupational hazards and major health conditions. In line with Perennial Holdings’ commitment to promoting physical and mental wellness, various wellness events were carried out throughout the year to enhance employee welfare. Weekly fitness sessions were organised to encourage employees to stay active, relieve stress and adopt healthier lifestyle habits. In addition, the Company organised lunch time talks on spinal health and spinal screening and maximising the benefits of the Supplementary Retirement Scheme, and incorporated a Traditional Chinese Medicine talk during the annual Employee Townhall. In China, employees from Perennial Qingyang Mall in Chengdu participated in outdoor Team Building Day activities, which strengthened camaraderie and boosted team spirit.
