Perennial Holdings regards water as a finite resource and acknowledges the risks associated with water scarcity, particularly in water-stressed Singapore. In response, the Company proactively implements measures to enhance water efficiency across its malls and healthcare facilities. These efforts directly support SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, as Perennial Holdings’ responsible water management practices promote the sustainable use of natural resources, reduce operational environmental impact and reinforce its commitment to long-term resource stewardship. What guides Perennial Holdings to manage this? • Environment and Climate Change Mitigation Policy Who at Perennial Holdings oversees this? • Sustainability Steering Committee FY2025 Targets achieved ✔ Installed water meters at selected water outlets in all assets ✔ Replaced water fittings certified under WELS with three ticks upon end of life or as and when necessary ✔ Held events aimed at raising environmental awareness Relevant UN SDGs Water-saving Measures Perennial Holdings maintains close oversight of its water consumption and is progressively installing water meters across all properties to obtain accurate and timely usage data. This enables early detection of leaks, supports efficient water-management practices and helps identify opportunities for further conservation. The Company also incorporates water-efficient taps and fittings throughout its properties and actively engages stakeholders to raise awareness of the importance of responsible water use. In Singapore, Perennial Holdings further reduces water consumption by utilising NEWater in its operations and replacing endoflife water fittings with models that meet the Water Efficiency Labelling Scheme (“WELS”) ratings issued by the Public Utilities Board (“PUB”), Singapore’s National Water Agency. In support of Singapore World Water Day, Capitol Singapore partnered with PUB to raise public awareness on water conservation. Throughout the month of March 2025, a PUB water‑saving television commercial was screened at the Outdoor Plaza to reinforce the importance of using water responsibly. At CHIJMES, ‘Save Water’ decals were installed on washroom mirrors to remind patrons to make every drop count, further encouraging mindful consumption and supporting national efforts to promote sustainable water use.
