OVERVIEW PERFORMANCE SUSTAINABILITY FINANCIALS APPENDIX 117 116 PERENNIAL HOLDINGS PRIVATE LIMITED ANNUAL REPORT 2025 Sustainability Report Water conservation initiatives such as save water decals and public-awareness campaigns are carried out at Perennial Holdings’ malls. These measures reinforce the Company’s commitment to sustainable resource management and long-term environmental stewardship. In China, Perennial Holdings continues to implement water-saving measures across its properties, including the installation of advanced water-efficient taps. At Perennial Jihua Mall, Foshan, the Company continues to optimise water efficiency by adjusting toilet water valves, installing watermonitoring meters and harvesting rainwater for irrigation to further reduce overall consumption. At Yixian Eldercare Fengxian, used water is collected and treated at an onsite wastewater treatment facility before being discharged into the domestic wastewater system, thereby minimising environmental impact. Across all its assets, Perennial Holdings ensures that wastewater discharge meets the minimum standards and quality requirements set by the relevant authorities in both Singapore and China. Additional details on regulatory compliance can be found in the Compliance with Laws and Regulations section below. In FY2025, Perennial Holdings recorded a total water consumption of 693,335 cubic meters (“m3”) across its assets in Singapore and China. Like-for-like water consumption has remained relatively stable between FY2024 and FY2025, with FY2025 reflecting a 1% increase from the FY2024 figure of 687,663 m³ (see Figure 9). For Singapore assets, water consumption can be categorised into two types – municipal water and NEWater. As shown in Figure 10, 48% of water consumed in FY2025 was NEWater, while 52% was municipal water. Perennial Holdings remains committed to reducing freshwater use in its Singapore operations by maximising the adoption of NEWater wherever feasible. Overall water consumption in Singapore has steadily increased over the years. While Perennial Holdings has historically consumed more NEWater than municipal water, FY2025 saw a notable shift, with the largest increase recorded in municipal water usage. In contrast, NEWater consumption fell to 138,814 m3, representing a 22% decrease from FY2024. This decrease was mainly driven by lower NEWater consumption at Perennial Business City. As NEWater at Perennial Business City is primarily used for landscape irrigation and cooling tower operations, consumption declined following the stabilisation of building operations, with most landscape maintenance and treatment works completed, thereby reducing post‑establishment water demand. In collaboration with REFASH and Decathlon, Chinatown Point hosted a GoGreen Market, an initiative promoting sustainable shopping and encouraging customers to adopt more ecoconscious lifestyle choices. SPOTLIGHT: Sustainability Initiatives at Chinatown Point Chinatown Point also launched its first Eco-friendly Christmas Campaign by collecting empty drink bottles through the GoGreen bottle collection initiative. These bottles were creatively repurposed to construct the mall’s firstever Green Christmas Tree, transforming waste into a meaningful festive centrepiece. The campaign successfully raised public awareness on recycling, waste reduction and environmental stewardship by demonstrating how everyday actions can contribute to more sustainable outcomes.
