Its first phase of development comprises Plot A8, with a GFA of approximately 1.55 million sq ft. Plot A8 is positioned as a dedicated mid-to-highend medical precinct comprising a 500-bed tertiary general hospital and a 400-bed secondary rehabilitation hospital. The subsequent two plots under future phases are expected to have a GFA of 2.8 million sq ft. They will house a range of eldercare facilities, serviced apartments, hotels and ancillary retail amenities to complement the holistic service offerings of this integrated project. Perennial Healthcare City Chongqing will inject fresh momentum into the growth of the healthcare industry in Chongqing, a city with a total population of over 32 million, and the Western China region, which has a total population of over 360 million people. The healthcare city is connected to Chongqing East HSR Station, a key intersection of five major corridors under China’s “Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal” HSR plan, cementing the strategic significance of Chongqing and the expansive reach of Perennial Healthcare City Chongqing. The station connects to seven HSR lines, two regular railway lines and four planned metro lines, and features 15 platforms and 29 arrival and departure tracks. This bustling transport hub is designed to handle an annual passenger volume of 55 million and will improve connectivity to the Western inland areas, the Eastern coastal region and the Pan-Asian HSR network to ASEAN. Domestic travellers will benefit from reduced transport times, reaching Chengdu, Qianjiang, Wanzhou and Guiyang within an hour, and Xi’an, Wuhan, Changsha and Kunming within three hours. Chongqing’s status as a centrally managed municipality highlights its critical role in China’s economic framework. The city serves as the hub for the China-Singapore (Chongqing) Demonstration Initiative on Strategic Connectivity (CCI), marking the third major inter-governmental venture between the two countries. Within this framework, the development of Perennial Healthcare City Chongqing illustrates a growing synergy in medical excellence, reflecting the robust and evolving nature of China-Singapore cooperation. Covering over 10.1 million sq ft in total GFA and seamlessly connected to the Xi’an North HSR station, the development is slated to become the premier healthcare and commercial hub serving communities across Shaanxi. The medical cluster within Perennial Healthcare City Xi’an comprises the 500-bed Class 3 tertiary Perennial General Hospital and three secondary specialist hospitals. Meanwhile, the eldercare component comprises the 600-bed Perennial Assisted Living and a 246-bed Perennial Nursing Hospital. Serviced apartments, loft units and SOHO spaces form the residential and office component of the Perennial Healthcare City Xi’an, providing diverse lifestyle and office options. In addition, the development will feature a 1,536-room multi-branded hotel cluster, encompassing 3-, 4- and 5-star hotels, to meet the needs of business and leisure travellers. The development is expected to progressively open from 2028. As the largest HSR station in Northwest China, Xi’an North HSR station brings together intercity railway services, intracity metro lines, long and short-distance bus terminals and taxi networks. Major routes like the Baolan Line link the city to Gansu, Ningxia and Xinjiang, while the Xi’anChengdu and Xi’an-Yinchuan lines have vastly improved intercity travel. With the Xi’an-Wuhan and Xi’an-Chongqing lines currently under construction, the city’s transit network continues to expand. Furthermore, the combination of the Airport Intercity Railway and three metro lines (2, 4 and 14) ensures smooth, multimodal access for all commuters.
