Perennial Holdings Private Limited - Annual Report 2023

Sustainability Report Our Community Perennial Holdings remains steadfast in its dedication to enhancing the welfare of the communities where it operates. The Company adopts a comprehensive Corporate Social Responsibility (“CSR”) strategy, consisting of: i) corporate giving; ii) partnerships with community organisations; and iii) employee volunteerism. Throughout FY2023, Perennial Holdings proactively led CSR endeavours aimed at enhancing the quality of life and wellbeing for families, children, the elderly and other vulnerable segments of society with contributions, such as community initiatives and various forms of donations. Corporate Giving Perennial Holdings’ overall contribution for FY2023, comprising both monetary and in-kind sponsorships, exceeded S$350,000. This encompassed initiatives such as aid for the healthcare sector through the Company’s donation to the Academy of Chinese Medicine in Singapore and enabling broader public access to the arts through donations and sponsorships aimed at nurturing bonds among families, children and the elderly. This included supporting Focus on the Family Singapore, an organisation dedicated to strengthening familial bonds through provision of timely resources to nurture relationships, for their annual flagship State of the Family event at the Capitol Theatre. Perennial Holdings is the Founding member of the Corporate Patron of Voices of Singapore (“VOS”), a non-profit organisation centred on choral music as a catalyst for bonding with the community. The Company believes that singing builds connections, enhances cognitive abilities and reinforces familial ties. This conviction drives support for initiatives such as the singing performances held at Capitol Singapore and CHIJMES Hall, which aim to promote family and community bonds. Further widening social participation, the Singing Tree, which is a part of Capitol Singapore’s Christmas festivities, provided a platform for engagement and talent showcase. Alongside children’s performances, the one-of-its-kind eightmetre-tall Capitol Singapore Singing Tree also showcased VOS Silver Voices, a choir comprising seniors aged 60 to 85 years old, with over 80 seniors participating in the carolling sessions. Their performances were met with widespread enjoyment and appreciation from all attendees, further emphasising the power of music to unite across generations. Partnerships with Community Organisations Apart from offering monetary and inkind contributions, Perennial Holdings is devoted to enhancing the well-being of those in need and promoting effective philanthropy by engaging in collaborative partnerships with community organisations. Now in its third consecutive year, this initiative not only provides support to those in need, but also cultivates stronger community connections. Consequently, 350 underprivileged households were able to benefit from this community enhancement programme. Photo Credit: National Heritage Board 122 PERENNIAL HOLDINGS PRIVATE LIMITED
