Perennial Holdings holds the largest single stake in Renshoutang with close to 50% interest. As at 31 December 2023, Renshoutang’s portfolio comprises over 30 eldercare and nursing facilities, predominantly in Shanghai, with a total of close to 13,000 operating and pipeline beds. Renshoutang offers a comprehensive range of eldercare facilities, products and services tailored to the needs of seniors requiring various levels of support. The services encompass assisted living, skilled nursing, rehabilitation and the management of chronic diseases and memory loss. In recognition of its integrated care approach, Renshoutang received China’s Top Five Eldercare Service Brand Award in 2020. Moreover, its pharmaceutical brand, Renshoutang Medicine (人寿堂 国药), earned the prestigious designation of China Time-honoured Brand (中华老字 号) from the Ministry of Commerce, usually reserved for brands established before 1956. Additionally, Renshoutang was honoured with the “Excellent Nursing Team in Shanghai Social and Medical Institutions” award in 2021 by the Shanghai Association of Social and Medical Institutions, in recognition of its exceptional nursing services. Renshoutang operates three well-known brands namely Yixian Eldercare (逸仙颐养), which targets the mass market; Xiehe Eldercare (协和颐养), which focuses on more affluent customers; and Renshoutang (人寿堂), which targets the premier customer segment. Renshoutang offers inclusive in-home care services for seniors who choose to live in their own homes. These services include support with daily activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and maintaining hygiene. Medical and nursing care is also provided, along with assistance in turning in bed. This aligns with the government’s efforts to improve eldercare services within homes and communities. In 2020, additional services such as rental of mobility aids and meal delivery were introduced. Recognising the quality of Renshoutang’s home-based care services, a member of its care team received the silver prize for “Home-based Long-term Nursing Care” from the Shanghai Changning District Healthcare Security Administration in 2022.
